An invitation to view our in-house Jessica Strang's exhibition as part of the Bloomsbury Festival

As part of the Bloomsbury Festival 2022, GLP are delighted to be exhibiting images from Jessica Strang's collection showing Kings Cross in 1987 before the re-development project. The photographs are displayed on the outside of the shop front therefore please feel free to come down and view any time

Jessica Strang’s images of Kings Cross taken during 1987 are a reminder of how Kings Cross looked before being given a new lease of life with its redevelopment around the turn of the 21st century. This exhibition documents how the area looked before redevelopment. For some, the images will evoke a memory and for others, these photographs of King’s Cross will show an unknown landscape. This is a reflection of the past for us to contrast with our present – an opportunity to see what someone saw before you as a beautiful visual ‘love letter’ to our current times and the future.

A bit about the artist..
Jessica was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to London in the late 1950s to study at St Martin’s School of Art. She then became part of the Pentagram design group and started documenting London life with a stills camera and developing her own photographs. Jessica passed away in 2021 and this exhibition is curated by friends and family as a tribute to her work and the extensive collection of documentary photographs she has left for us to appreciate the past.

The Festival..
The Bloomsbury Festival is a fabulous ten day festival and this year it is inspired by the theme 'Breathe'. With over 100 events, visitors will have an exciting mix of contemporary arts, music, performance, theatre, science displays, talks, walks and community events all within the beautiful area of Bloomsbury.

The whole team here at Greater London Properties are delighted to be taking part in such a special community focused event. Please come down to visit our shop front at 65 Judd Street, Bloomsbury and pop in and say hello to our team.

With the Autumn Budget just around the corner, there’s a sense of anticipation — and a touch of nervousness — in the air.

If you’re planning to buy a home soon, you might assume the best place to start is on the property portals, Rightmove, Zoopla, or OnTheMarket. But the truth is, the savviest buyers are seeing homes long before they ever appear online. Here’s why registering with an agent puts you one step ahead.

The portal opened on the 1st October, all license applications will need to be submitted by 24th November - read on to find out what it involves and how we GLP can help.

Think at least ten years ahead with your children – time flies fast. The home and neighbourhood that fit your family today should still work when your children are older, more independent, and have new routines. Dulwich and Herne Hill both offer excellent options for families, but each has its own character.
