Why we said yes: GLP and Leading Estate Agents of the World

Why we said yes: GLP and Leading Estate Agents of the World

When we started Greater London Properties in 2003, we wanted to build the kind of agency we'd want to deal with ourselves. Straight advice, people who know the streets they work in, and clients who come back because we looked after them properly the first time, whether..

.. it was a period townhouse in Bloomsbury, a penthouse apartment in Soho or a building in Hyde Park.

Today our team looks after sales, lettings and property management, which means we often care for the same home, and the same people, for many years.

Twenty-three years on, we're very pleased to tell you that GLP has been invited to become a founding member of Leading Estate Agents of the World.

What it is

Leading Estate Agents of the World brings together independent estate and letting agencies from across the globe. Founding members were invited rather than signed up, and we were genuinely touched to be asked.

"Being invited as a founding member demonstrates what our team has been doing quietly for years: giving people honest advice, doing things properly and being happy to be judged on results. It's recognition for them as much as anything."
Rob Hill, Director

Why we said yes

We didn't say yes for a logo on the website. We said yes because of what membership asks of us. Members publish how they perform, share what they learn with each other, and put useful, honest information out for the public. We already believe in all of that, and we like the idea of being held to it.

It also means we get to compare notes with agents we respect in very different markets. Our advice on Central and South East London's villages will always come from our own team and our own experience. Hearing how others tackle the same problems simply keeps us sharp.

What it means for you

Day to day, nothing changes, and that's rather the point. Whether we're selling your home, finding the right tenant for your apartment, or managing your property and looking after your tenants year after year, you already know the care you get from our team. This invitation recognises what our sales, lettings and property management teams already do so well.

Our membership profile also puts our numbers in the open: how long properties take us to sell, how many we sell, and how close we get to asking price. We're proud of them, and we think anyone choosing an agent should be able to see them.

Thank you

An invitation like this says as much about our clients as it does about us. Thank you to every landlord, tenant, buyer and seller who has trusted us with their home or portfolio/estate over the years.

If you'd like to see the people and the story behind GLP, you'll find our membership profile here: Click Here

And if you're thinking about a move, a let or a sale, we're always happy to talk.
