Good news for local families — Transport for London has proposed a brand-new Superloop SL15 bus route that would run between Clapham Junction and Eltham, cutting right across the South Circular through West Dulwich, Tulse Hill and Forest Hill.
The bus route is designed as an express route — fewer stops, faster journeys, and better connections across South London.
Why it matters for families
This new service isn’t just about convenience — it’s about making everyday travel safer and easier for our children.
Here’s how:
🚍 Fewer bus changes – no more hopping between routes in the dark or waiting alone at bus stops.
🌙 Shorter travel times – meaning our kids get home faster after after-school clubs or evening activities.
💡 Well-lit, familiar stops – the route follows main roads, making it safer at night.
👪 More reliable service – buses every 12–15 minutes from early morning until past midnight.
Why it’s good for our community
- Reduces car trips and school-run traffic — cleaner air and calmer streets.
- Connects families more easily to schools, sports clubs and grandparents across South London.
- Helps young people travel independently with confidence.

TfL’s consultation is open until Sunday 30 November 2025 — and local voices really do make a difference.
