Thank You for Instructing Us — Let’s Get Your Home Ready...

First of all, thank you for choosing GLP to sell your home. We’re genuinely excited to get started and to tell your property’s story in the very best possible light.

The first step in that journey is getting your home ready for photography — and this stage is absolutely crucial.

Preparing for Photography

Before our photographer arrives, it’s important to spend a little time decluttering and preparing your home. Clear surfaces, tidy rooms and minimal personal items help buyers picture themselves living there — and it makes a huge difference to how your property looks online.

Our photographers are incredibly skilled at capturing your home at its best. On the day, they’ll make small styling tweaks — adjusting cushions, removing clutter from counters, straightening furniture — but the main preparation needs to happen beforehand.
The rule of thumb is simple: the emptier and more open your space feels, the better it will photograph.

Extra Help If You Need It

We understand that getting your home photo-ready can feel like a big job, which is why we’re happy to recommend trusted local contractors who can help with small tasks — from light decorating and repairs to garden tidy-ups and furniture moves. They’re reliable, great value, and used regularly by our clients.

If you’d like a professional eye, we can also arrange a visit from our “House Doctor”. For a small fee, they’ll give you a clear list of minor improvements and upgrades that could make your home stand out — from quick cosmetic touches to layout suggestions.

And if you want to go one step further, we can provide staging furniture and accessories to help your property photograph beautifully and appeal to a wider range of buyers.

Small Changes, Big Impact

It’s incredible how much difference small changes can make — a lighter throw on the bed, some fresh flowers, better lighting, or a rearranged sofa can completely transform the look and feel of a room.
We’ve seen time and again that it’s worth the extra effort, and we’ll guide you through every step to make sure your property looks its absolute best from day one.

If you’d like more advice, or to book in our House Doctor, staging service, or local contractors, speak to us any time. We’ll work with you to achieve the strongest possible result and make sure your home shines in the market.

We will be in touch to arrange a good time for our media team to come and visit your home.

Warm regards,
