Why is it important to choose an agent who shares your core values?

Why is it important to choose an agent who shares your core values?

You may not realise it, but our values inform our thoughts, words and actions, and whether you buy into it or not, they help us to create the future we want to experience.

Every individual and every organisation is involved in making hundreds of decisions every day, and those decisions are a reflection of our values and beliefs. For example, being from the Peak district, I have grown up a keen walker and I only buy Patagonia Backpacks. Why? Because their Core Value as a business rests on the durability of their products and limiting the ecological impact in order to save the planet. Put simply, it is not the cheapest product but if it ever breaks (which they rarely do), you are able to send it back and they will mend it. I really value that.

When we started the business back in 2003, our Core Values was one of the first conversations that took place.

What did we want to be known for?
Since we opened our doors, every member who has joined our GLP team have been educated about these beliefs and values and hopefully this vision is reflected through to our clients.

Our GLP Core Values

Exhibit Honesty and Integrity.
In an industry that has a questionable reputation it is essential to act with integrity and honesty at all times. Honesty and full transparency is the only policy and will ensure that our reputation continues to grow in the right way. We are proud of our customers’ experiences and journeys and as such, provide the forum via all agents and trust pilot for all customers to share their experiences.

Enthusiastic, Energetic, Tenacious & Competitive.
We believe that moving to a new house is a milestone and represents a new chapter in your life and as such, in most cases, is an exciting time. Demonstrating a high level of enthusiasm and energy towards the sale of a property can inspire potential buyers to view the property with the same level of excitement and interest. A tenacious approach to selling, such as following up with potential buyers and staying persistent in negotiations, can help properties stand out in a crowded market. Additionally, a competitive mindset drives us to go the extra mile to make the properties we sell stand out from the rest, through strategic marketing.

To become a part of the fabric of the communities we serve
We are visible members of the communities we serve, we do not shy away from our responsibilities and are involved in local projects and support those in need. This includes the local schools #GLPSOS, the homeless, disadvantaged children, the elderly and the environment.

You only get to sell any given property once and its crucial to understand who you are getting into a business relationship from the outset. The team here are not only hugely experienced in the whole sales process but also fully understand the stresses and strains moving can bring.
We believe that our core values not only will help you to achieve the best possible price but also to help ensure the transaction runs as smoothly as possible and hopefully will be the start of a lifelong relationship with you.

If you would like advice on your property, please call our team today on 0207 734 4062.

We look forward to hearing from you.
